🌾 Training the Tourism Professionals of Tomorrow – EXTOR Pilot in Spain 🇪🇸As part of the Erasmus+ EXTOR project (Experiential Tourism for Sustainable Rural Development), INFODEF successfully conducted the Spanish pilot at the IES Diego de Praves VET centre from Valladolid, working closely with students from the Hospitality and Tourism Department.💡 The pilot combined theory and practice to immerse students in key concepts of sustainable, rural, and experiential tourism:🔹 Learners explored the online EXTOR training platform, discovering tools to design innovative, environmentally responsible tourism experiences.🔹 The sessions promoted creativity and entrepreneurship, encouraging students to shape ideas connected to real rural needs.🔹 On-site visits to tourism businesses and social initiatives provided inspiration and direct engagement with the local tourism ecosystem.🔹 As a final task, students developed business presentations, including videos, factsheets, and elevator pitches — all aligned with the EXTOR values of inclusion, sustainability, and rural revitalisation.🌍 This pilot reinforced the connection between VET education and real-world challenges in rural areas, showing how tourism can be a powerful lever for youth-led innovation and community transformation.👏 Congratulations to all the students, teachers and stakeholders involved — we’re excited to see how their work will inspire others across Europe!🔗 Learn more: elearning.extor-project.eu#EXTORProject #VET #SustainableTourism #ExperientialTourism #RuralInnovation #DigitalSkills #TourismEducation #YouthEmpowerment #ErasmusPlus #Valladolid #INFODEF ...
